Henry is a 4 year old Friesian Cross Gelding registered with the Friesian Horse Blood Registry, who stands 15.1 hands high. Born and raised on our small breeding farm he has been handled daily since birth and started slowly and correctly.
He is not just a beautiful horse, but has a fun personality and calm sweet demeanor. He has all of the beautiful Friesian hair and a very long thick tail. He is ready to be your best friend. He adores attention and loves to be spoiled! He has a very willing attitude and seeks to please. Henry is a wonderful gelding inside and out with a stunning ebony body, balanced conformation and a kind eye that will melt your heart.
Henry was started as a 2 year old driving, given time off to grow and develop. Trained to ride as a 3 year old, and then went for another 30 days of training to continue his education as a 4 year old this spring. Since he has been home he has been ridden and driven by our family. He is the perfect size for most riders, not too big and not too small. He stands quietly to tack up, mount and dismount. Has been used for lead line for our small kids to give rides around the farm. Quiet enough that our 9 year old can lead him around the farm. Loads and unloads out of the trailer with ease and stands quietly for the vet, shoeing, washing, and clipping. He has been exposed to children, dogs, 4-wheelers and large farm equipment, tarps and yoga balls. He is up to date on shots, worming, farrier work and dental.
He has been ridden Western and English, started on a few simple dressage maneuvers such as side passing and leg yields. Has beautiful floating trot and a rolling lofty canter. Has been trained to sit on a bean bag and stand on a pedestal. He is happy to go down a trail alone or with others. He will stand out in the show ring with his stunning presence. Would work well for dressage and has been over a few jumps as well. He truly will excel in any discipline you choose, he has been started well and is ready to continue his career as your perfect partner.
Henry can also take you out for a Sunday drive at the end of a long week. He happily will take you down the road or around your farm, and is traffic safe and sound. He will drive single or team, and will pull a cart, buggy, or wagon. He looks absolutely gorgeous in a harness and will get you noticed wherever you go.
