Ziggy is a 9-year-old buckskin Quarter Horse gelding standing 14.2 hands tall. He’s the kind everyone notices with his beautiful golden coat, kind eye, and balanced build that turns heads wherever he goes. Ziggy is the total package. broke, gentle, versatile, and always willing to please. He’s the kind of horse you can enjoy in the arena one day and take down the trail the next with complete confidence.
In the arena, Ziggy rides around collected and soft in the bridle, holding a pretty headset at all gaits. He moves easily off leg pressure, pivots on his hind end, and has a true one hand neck rein. He catches both leads, transitions smoothly, and lopes off with ease every single time. Ziggy has also been ridden English and will trot through poles and small obstacles quietly and willingly. He’s been lightly loped through the barrel pattern and shows the kind of mind that could go in any direction such as ranch riding, playdays, or just a reliable all around partner.
Out on the trail, Ziggy is solid, dependable, and sure footed. He’s been ridden through all kinds of terrain and doesn’t hesitate or spook. He will go out alone or with a group and is the same horse every ride, calm, confident, and ready to go wherever you point him. He’s seen big farm equipment, dogs, and goats. Ziggy has even carried the American flag and been used to pony colts, showing his steady nature and good attitude. He’s the kind that can go all day and still meet you at the gate with his ears up and that friendly, loving personality.
Ziggy is great to be around on the ground as well. He’s extremely gentle and in your pocket, always happy to come up to you in the pasture, especially if you shake a grain bucket. He stands quietly in the cross ties to be saddled, bathed, and groomed, and has excellent manners. In the pasture, he’s lower to middle in the pecking order and does equally well kept in a stall or turned out on pasture.
He is currently wearing four shoes and sells with a current negative Coggins and rabies vaccination.
