Tonka is an 8 year old 14.3 hand super stocky built Dappled buckskin gelding. He has that nice small defined quarter horse heads and a nice big hip. He’s built to carry all sizes riders and short enough that it’s easy to get on. Tonka is built to last, he has great feet and clean, thick legs. Tonka is a really sweet boy that always looks to please. He has mostly been a trail horse for me, I use him as a guide horse for organized rides. He will also go out alone and is comfortable anywhere in line on the trail. He has been on overnight camping trips all over PA and NC. He has also been used as a ranch horse in Montana where he pushed cattle and did playdays. He will cross water and mud with ease. Up steep hills and across rough terrain, he will always take care of his rider on the trail. In the arena he will walk trot and canter nicely, picking up both leads at a canter. He has a really nice neck rein, gentle and very easy to ride. Tonka will bath, load, trailer and stand tied to saddle and at the trailer perfectly. He is great for the vet and farrier and currently has 4 shoes and coggins and rabies current. Tonka is one cool horse that I absolutely love having around, he’s friendly with other horses and well behaved in a stall or in turn out. He has no bad habits, and he is sound and gentle.
