Say hello to Cactus, a beautiful 2016 AQHA Registered Sorrel Gelding! Cactus is a been there, done that American Ranch Horse. He’s spent his career as the go to using gelding on a large cattle operation in New Mexico. Cactus has been used to gather cattle off of big, rough terrain sections, drug calves to the branding fire, doctored yearlings outside, and sorted thousands of head in the pens. He knows what a days wage entails. The best quality Cactus has is he doesn’t require “work” everyday. Cactus can withstand as much prosperity as a person can throw at him. Months of time off? Saddle him and step aboard. There is absolutely zero foolishness to him. He is a true in your pocket type of horse. Your other horses can be running laps around you when you go to catch them, Cactus will leave the herd and put his head in your halter. We cannot express in words how gentle this horse is. We’ve never seen one like him. Cactus was started in a cowhorse program and comes equipped with all the fancy buttons. He can catch both of his leads effortlessly, has a pretty turn around, and has a ton of expression on a cow. Rides low headed, smooth, and with a drape in your reins. Cactus could certainly transition into the show world and make a top end ranch versatility horse. Cactus requires no maintenance and has never taken a bad step. He is clean legged and would fit ANY level of rider. He has exceptional manners on and off his back. Stands for the farrier like a statue, easy to bridle, saddle, bathe, and groom.
