Offering Asher, a 2019 grey AQHA gelding—this athletic and eye-catching gelding has experience in barrel racing, pole bending, and carrying a flag with a youth rider. He’s currently being used for mounted shooting and tracking the dummy with an adult rider. Strong, smart, and versatile, he’s suitable for an intermediate/experienced rider who has confidence in their abilities and has great potential as a heading, ranch versatility, or mounted shooting prospect. Asher has been ridden on trails, both though open fields and single track trails and would be a great trail partner.
In his video you will see him at a mounted shooting event, he is being ridden by a first year competitor and Asher has only seen ballons a handful of times before this event. This horse was extremely easy to gun break and has the mind to go in any direction. We haven't tracked cattle from the box with him yet, but Asher really wants to watch a cow and goes to one very well. He has been used to push steers in the return alley and is willing to pressure them when asked. In barrel racing he has been just out of the money in the 1D youth, and runs 3D/4D at super shows. Asher has only been competed on with a youth rider.
Asher hauls well both alone and with other horses, has been to multi-day and single-day events, stalls overnight, clips, bathes, and loves attention. He is currently wearing front shoes only and is sound and ready to continue in any direction. Asher has an old wire scar over the left hind cannon bone but it has no effect on soundness.
