Stratons Pick aka “Fender” is an exceptionally versatile gelding, sporting the perfect balance of push and feel! From his extensive resume as a ranch horse, to his time being enjoyed by the whole family- Fender is always happy to spend time with his people!
Packing the Crowson brand on his left hip, Fender was born & raised by Kenny Crowson in Dike, Texas. Notorious for raising top tier ranch horses in East Texas, Fender is the product of a quality breeding program- and his build, demeanor, & pedigree are the perfect example of just that!
Contrary to the generic “ranch horse” personality, Fender truly is eager to please, stays gentle day in and day out, and is very quiet and pleasant to be around! Turn him out on a 20 acre trap, and he will come meet you at the gate! One of my favorite things about this gelding is his temperament, he will put his head in your hands/lap, loves all the attention, but is not overly pushy or crowding. He really is just a good hearted horse.
Aside from having a dough-ball personality, Fender can also ride up with the best of them out on the ranch! He is absolutely fantastic to doctor on, and will not put you in a wreck or a bind. He can also work a gate, and is accustomed to a long days work, but doesn’t require it to stay gentle! He will go over the river and through the woods without question! Cattle, chaos, dogs, buffalo, tarps, traffic - he is acclimated to it all! He has also been started on the heel side, and has a great stop! Fender also lopes around very cute in the arena, will steer around, and track a circle low headed! He has a great whoa, can side-pass, and spin! He is not spooky in the slightest, and takes everything in stride.
Fender is clean legged & great footed. he loads, ties, hauls, is good for farrier/ vet, and up to date on all dental work! He is an easy keeper, and lives happily in or out of a stall!

Maggie Wright has an exhausting fight ahead.
Neither she nor her family were emotionally, let alone financially prepared for this. She does not have health insurance.
