Here’s a special gelding that is the total package. Meet Spud, a 2020 AQHA Registered Palomino Gelding, that stands 15.1 hands tall and weighs a full 1250 lbs. Spud has been used on the ranch for all the chores. He’s went and gathered off of big country and been used to help tag baby calves during calving season. Spud is pure hearted and is transparent as glass. What you see is what you get each and every time you catch him. Spud has a phenomenal one handed neck rein handle, lopes beautiful circles, smooth gates, and carries himself very elegantly. He stays gentle year round and does not require a daily or even weekly job to stay that way. Spud has been very lightly started on the head side and is showing tons of promise. He is 100% sound in every way and doesn’t have one hair out of place. When Spud sheds off in the spring he is a beautiful golden palomino with big dapples all over. No scars or blemishes. Spud has been trail rode in the canyon and handles all the terrain with ease. He’s traffic safe and doesn’t get stirred up or nervous in high pressure situations.
