Joker is a seasoned head horse. That’s his primary job. He is quiet in the box and stays gentle. He has been hauled to jackpots of all calibers, some rodeos and youth rodeos. He has been through a barrier. If you’re on the hunt for a horse to haul and take down the road with no worries on the head side he’s a good one for the job!
Outside of the roping pen he is good to use on the ranch and has worked the cow sale. He opens and closes gates with ease and is gentle enough for any age or ability level of rider to ride including youth. Absolutely gentle, no spook or buck.
Our 7 year old daughter has ranch rodeoed on him in all events (sorting, penning, goat tying, branding) this season for TYRRA. She has also trail ridden him with her friends. They’ve ridden bareback and swam the pond. He has also boosted her confidence tracking and roping live cattle in the arena.
Joker is a horse that stays safe and gentle. He can go do his job in the roping pen one minute and turn around and take care of the kiddos the next. He has always been very well mannered and displayed no sour tendencies with our daughter. We have no hesitancy about allowing her to take off and enjoy the summer on him.
His current diet is alfalfa, we do keep him shod since we haul him, he has no silly quirks or tendencies, he is sound and requires no maintenance.
