The grand-dam Nibalia produced Yalambi's Val d'Isere VDL (by Atlantic) at 1.60m and approved in KWPN, Abel Tasman (by Tenerife VDL), Zirocco Royal (by Zirocco Blue VDL), and Jan Diamo R.T. (by Andiamo Z) at 1.45m, as well as L.B. Carrera (by Carrera VDL) at 1.30m.

Chou Blue carries the sought-after Chacco-Blue blood through his sire Chacoon Blue, the second highest-ranked sire in the world, and the highly successful Balou du Rouet on the dam side – a pedigree that clearly breathes world-class show jumping. His full brother Carnegie is approved in Hanover and was named premium stallion. Chou Blue’s granddam and great-granddam have produced numerous successful sport horses, including La Melonga (1.60m). Chou Blue himself completed the SWB Stallion Test with very high marks from both judges and test riders, showing great jumping ability, reaction, and elasticity – test rider Dave Maarse exclaimed, “Amazing horse”! Together with Thomas Ryan, he has already launched a promising sport career with strong results at young horse competitions.
