Here's a super cool dude!
Skylar is a 2016 registered Paint Horse gelding. He is 9 years old and stands 14.2 hands tall. He is built like a tank. Gorgeous tobiano color and classic foundation looking build. Not only is he well built but also very well bred and sired by Smart Little Freckles which is a grandson of Smart Little Lena! He definitely has the pedigree to excel in various disciplines and has been hauled to the fun shows
He has extensive experience doing ranch work including checking fence, carrying gear and tools, finding lost stock on 300 acres, moving stock etc. He also has extensive experience on all types of trails. He can handle very tough and technical trails with rocky terrain, steep climbs and deep ditches. He will cross water and obstacles. He is slow and steady on rough terrain and will pick his way along. He has also been hauled to shows and to state parks on trail rides which he handles like a champ, new areas do not phase him and he always takes care of his rider
he works great in the arena and knows his leads , he's got all the fancy buttons yet he is uncomplicated for beginners to ride, He neck reins and side passes and will also ride bridless, he has a soft jog and a smooth lope. he will ride alone to work or pleasure ride. He has a laid back, friendly personality. He is accustomed to country traffic and busy roads. He is athletic and talented. He could excel in any western discipline or competition. He is sound and healthy. He easily loads and hauls. He has great ground manners, standing tied, bathing, trimming etc. He gets along fine with other horses under saddle and in the pasture.
