Pistol is broke in the bridle and seasoned in the arena, started as a cutter he has a great handle.
Pistol is a seasoned trail horse as he has been used to check cattle all over the place, he is used to leaving other horses and being left behind. He has been over scary bridges, crosses water, great in steep terrain and in the brush. He will cross whatever you point him at. We have had four wheelers, trucks, trailers, etc passing with no issues. He drags the tarp without issues and is solid logging.
This gelding would fit someone wanting to use him on a ranch or someone wanting to barrel race, pole bend, he's a great ranch riding prospect/ranch versatility, or use him to sort/pen.
Pistol also has a ton of cow sense and really works a gate well when sorting pairs off on the ranch.
We've given Pistol time off and he takes it well, stays the same horse he was prior.
He has a work horse mindset and will do whatever he is pointed at without hesitation.
