Cathrine Dufour had to make a difficult decision. And the best dressage pair Henri Ruoste with Kontestro will not start.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The World Championships in Show Jumping, Dressage, Para-Dressage and Vaulting will start in Herning, Denmark from <strong>06 August to 14 August<\/strong> <strong>2022<\/strong> . For the Danish dressage rider <strong>Cathrine Dufour<\/strong> an important decision had to be made. She had to decide which horse she would ride in Heringen. In Aachen she still didn&#8217;t know whether she would take the horse &#8220;Vamos Amigos&#8221; or &#8220;Bohemian&#8221; with her. Now it is clear that she will take <strong>Vamos Amigos with her<\/strong>. In Aachen he already won all three tests of the big tour. Bohemian will remain a reserve for the rider.<\/p>\n<p>Dufour commented as follows: &#8220;It was a difficult decision, but at the end of the day I had to listen to my gut feeling. I am so proud to have such great owners behind both horses and it <strong>hurts to let a family down<\/strong>. Thank you Zinglersen family (who own Bohemian, editor&#8217;s note) and Pidgley family (who own Vamos Amigos) for the endless support &#8211; I am happy and I can&#8217;t wait for the future with both families. This championship will be with Vamos Amigos and I <strong>can&#8217;t wait to compete<\/strong> in my first World Championships with such an incredible horse!&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>No contestro for Henri Ruoste<\/h2>\n<p>Henri Rouste from Finland celebrated a great success at the CHIO Aachen with his twelve-year-old <strong>Contendro son &#8220;Kontestro&#8221;<\/strong>. They finished third in the Grand Prix and fifth in the Freestyle. According to Ruoste, this was more than he had hoped for. But tragically, the gelding is not competing at the World Championships in Heringen. Kontestro had an elevated <strong>temperature after Aachen<\/strong>, which has been more or less unchanged for 14 days.<\/p>\n<p>This means that they will <strong>not be competing<\/strong> together at the World Championships. He said: &#8220;We want to give Kontestro the time he needs to get well, recover and come back stronger. This is happening at a very <strong>unfortunate time<\/strong> and of course it means there will be no World Cup for us this year. We always say that the welfare of the horses comes first and above everything. We don&#8217;t compromise in that respect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In Switzerland, the strongest rider, <strong>Estelle Wettstein, is also absent<\/strong>.
